Gloucester/Cheltenham Breast Screening orders more Selenia systems

Gloucester Breast screening unit initially installed a Lorad MIV with DSM and STL11, a complex installation into a listed building requiring craning of the system carefully through an opening in a window. The system performed extremely well and eventually lead to a Selenia stereo unit being purchased early last year 2008 and installed onto a static trailer pending the building of a new breast unit.

In early 2009 Glouscester breast screening unit tendered for three more Selenia systems a dedicated Mammo PACS system and integrated image transfer devices. MIS initially won three Selenia systems and recently won the MICAS PACS with Dimex image transfer devices and NBSS sync. Installation of the first Selenia has already started with the next two Selenias and PACS system scheduled for installation later this month (07/09). This makes for the third site to go fully digital with MIS Hologic solutions
