NLBSU (North London Breast Screening Unit) Go Digital |
|
North London Breast screening centre a MIS Hologic partner for the past 8 years with an installed base of 9 Hologic MIV analogue units and a Multicare prone table has taken the “Big bang” approach to transition from analogue to digital.
NLBSS installed a Selenia digital mammography unit and a MICAS PACS system developed by MIS and Scheaff Systems in January in order to further develop a system compatible with the NBSS RIS system.
Many months of research and development with Terminos, Schaeff systems and Hologic resulted in a fully compliant PACS reporting system that meets all the requirements of the Breast screening Programme.
Today NLBSS confirmed their continued partnership with MIS by placing an order for a further 9 Selenia systems, MICAS PACS system, image transfer devices, Multiple Reporting workstations and an additional Multicare prone table. A further 5 Selenia systems some already installed in static units in North London will also be connected to the NLBSS MICAS system.
What this means is that the whole of North London will be fully integrated utilizing Selenia systems, MIS MICAS PACS and transfer devices making it the largest installation of Selenia systems in the UK and possibly Globally
